Lmao. You should re read your quote. Haha. You even say people SHOULDN'T listen to you! !!! Yes they should talk to MANY other real Owner Operators. They will get the truth.

Yes CRST is a hard Company to be leased onto. They want Owners who can manage their own business and who are capable of using multiple load boards. Owners either make money or go broke here. Unfortunately not every owner is capable of doing this. That's ok. There's plenty of.Companies to lease onto that have only one load board. Such as Landstar or Mercer. It's a lot easier at these 2 because you only have 1 board to use. BUT it does limit your options and could limit your revenue.
No trucking Company is perfect. As a successful owner YOU MUST adapt and learn how to be successful. Some owners maybe should let a dispatched run their truck if they are not capable to do it themselves.

Does anybody know how the freight rates are going into and out of Florida? I know that is probably a stupid question.

Rates going into Florida aren't bad lately, and coming back out can be rough, but lately there have been crane mats coming out of there for the last month or so paying $2.75 to the truck. They are finishing up a pipeline and moving the crane mats to two or three different locations in Pa. and Tn.

Well I will be out of commision for awhile....I fell off my trailer yesterday and broke a bone in my elbow. I will be in a cast for 6 to 8 weeks, once healed I will be back over here. Unlike alot of people, im happy here and make good money. S.C. forced me to have workmens comp. insurance, now im glad they did.

I am sorry to hear about the broken bone. It is good that you will at least have some income while you heal.

From the stories I have heard about workmens comp. about the time it kicks in I will be heading back to work. Hopefully it will be quicker, but I won't hold my breath. I have an appointment tomorrow with otrhopedic doc to have my plaster cast put on (ERs have gotten out of the buisness of putting on casts) out here in Illinois, and then rent a car and head home.
I will rent a car and head home.

I busted my rear on an oily tanker several years back. I broke both hands trying to catch myself. Sucked...both hands in casts for 3 months... ...at any rate, my boss made me file for workman's comp and I had a check in no time...and regular checks until I went back to work. Oh....and this was in Illinois, too.

I prefer an occupational accident policy. I think it is much faster to get your money.

So sorry to hear about your injury, I hope you are better soon. I've said that we make decent money here. It's all up to us. I was apologizing to my husband earlier for not keeping more of our money and taking better care of our business.

Thanks for reminding me that we have to take care of ourselves!
