i tried to team with a guy when i use to work for werner i only did one load from ny to california and when i get to california i called them up and say hey im no longer interested in team driving they were mad they gave my teammate a rental car and they put me on a truck stop for 3 days no one talk to me they knew what they were doing i couldn't take a plane to my house in ny because of the truck but i bet they won't do this crap to me again
oh they throw you to the wolfs i went there right out of trucking school and my trainer was supposed to watch my driving and give me pointer and that trainer did was sleep in the passenger seat and ocationaly wake up and say your doing good then 2nd day out got out of the seat and went into the bunk and say your on your own in the middle of winter in the mountains
Yeah, we're that bad. 7 months of this company, I'm finally starting to get the hang of backing. Now, I was responsible, I didn't want to go back on the road until I actually got taught to back, which the school and my trainer kind of skipped. Just an hour with someone that knows how to do it would have solved this whole problem. I was forced back out. Got a lawyers advice and the contract had me... I had to go risk messing up and backing into someone or get really screwed. They actually made me lie about whether or not I was taught to back, and how many times I did it, and when. It's not just putting your truck on the line, but also my driving record and ability to get a job that's actually worth going to. Lucky for you guys, I'm not an idiot and can see the trailer is about to hit something, so stop... But thanks to teaming, and the fact that I always get stuck driving nights because this company hires such great wastes of time, I hardly even got any time to work on figuring it out for myself. A lot of it came from getting advice from you guys on here. Eventually it clicked, and I realized how painfully obvious the idea of what to do was, but there's still actually getting used to steering the trailer to do it. CRST doesn't care. At least I know who to actually blame if someone ever backs into my truck once I get out of this place. There's no excuse for anyone being put on the road without being able to do this. We can't even do our job if we can't back
That picture is why I fear for my life every time I have to go out. This is my last month with them, then I'm done. Even worse, is when you complain about dangerous drivers, your answer is typically "you're just gonna have to drive with them for now" Once you refuse to get on the truck enough times, they just stick them with someone else... And eventually, some unlucky worker, who might make sure he does every little detail of the job safely, gets killed by the bad drivers. I'll never understand how some of these guys will lease a truck, and get forced to drive team with a stranger.
seems that someone at CRST needs to know what rockstar nj has to say about them since they are his current employer. think I will forward this info on to them. He sure does a lot of talking and not enough driving. posts negative stuff on almost every thread on here about CRST. They will be happy to see this. Sending now.
This is a drivers forum, I notice that you are not a driver. If your going to hang here then at least respect the privacy of those who are driver. The last thing we need is a recruiter running to the boss trying to make points. Put a lid on it or just go away.
You obviously have no knowledge of trucking. Are you typing these responses from under your CRST desk? This is an OPEN forum. You don't rule anyone here.If this guy has an honest opinion, like tons of others, you need to go back to keyboard, and thank God you don't have the guts to drive. Cowards Rat people out for personal gain daily,so you should go far..get a job
Yeah. That seemed like a recruiter. I still stand by my statement that it's inexcusable to put someone on the road without any actual training on backing. They finally got smart and started testing again, but how many backing accidents did it take?
I don't who you are or what you thought you were doing here, but I guarantee you WON'T get away with this a second time. I see someone else saw this before me because I would've gave you the boot for this immediately. Folks other than drivers are welcome. Snitches are not.
