    i love the hypocrisy over this. 'When i started driving i was handed keys to the truck with no training at all, oh the glory days of trucking'. 'CRST trainers can sleep while student drives? WTFOMGDJUSTSCREWMY####UPFAMTHISISSUCHBS!1!!'

    Lots of guys now a days lack common sense. I'm sure your boss back then didn't spam the local paper and hand any old warm body keys to his trucks. Back in the day you also had to know how to work on your truck or you would sit in the side of the road. No phones, no qualcomm. Now a days most guys won't even change a mudflap or bulb

    "But...but...but...I'm just a driver! I don't get PAID to work on the truck!"

    ...says the steering wheel holder as he sits in line for 3+ hours waiting for the T/A to install that headlight he could've put in himself in 30 seconds and been however many miles he could've been paid to drive during that 2:59:30 he waited unnecessarily.

    I never understood that mindset. I'll do whatever I have to do to keep moving...even if that means my hands get a little dirty in the process. Always have, even before it was my truck...and still do, even though it isn't my trailer.
