Well, it's up to you to make sure your equipment is okay before you leave out on any run. As I said...I don't blame him. Holding up the driver's time? Don't you make sure you have enough time for such incidents or others before you leave? It's not his fault when you guys cannot plan ahead of a trip. And it's not his fault when he got screwed by 2 trucking companies - he tried to solve the probs in a civil and decent manner. They messed with him one time too many and that's the result. Live with it or tell your companies to hold up their end of the bargain.
CRST sucks

Practicing harassment of a company is likely to end up badly for the officer. Companies like this have attorneys on retainer.
I would advise not doing more than having good cause to stop people, the officer's records would be subject to being reviewed at some point even internally. -
I won't tell him to retire - that would mean I will have to suck my tickets and pay for them. As long as he's a State Trooper, I can get out of all my smaller tickets. He saved my butt at least 5 times in the last 2 years, including bailing my butt out. Do you really think I'm going to let this good opportunity pass because a few drivers don't like to be pulled over by a State Trooper? Ummmm....think again! I love this man and he's got my full support !!!!!

Yeah we all plan ahead for a cop with a vendetta...Lonesome Thanks this.

For the office, it's only revenue when he writes a ticket. They don't care. He always has good cause when he thinks a trailer tire doesn't look as good as it should, a mudflap hangs too low, a tire looks too low on air, a light is out on the truck or trailer.....All I'm saying is, be prepared for him. You the driver have to make sure your equipment is okay...not him. Don't give him any reason to stop you, and he won't. It is his right to stop you anytime, even if he just wants to check your weight. After all, he's a State Trooper and not just some city cop.
-
You should plan ahead at all times for anything.

Proof that even morons can be cops
Numb, SmoothBore and Lonesome Thank this. -
Try him to see if he's a moron. I betcha you won't say that to him when he got you by the balls.
-
Betcha I will... And even better, I'll know exactly who he Is... So much for his job after that. That badge doesn't make him invincible. Actually, very far from it.. you should bite your tongue from now on.

Make sure to take copies of this post to court with you, I think the term we are looking for is harrasment? You can't just go running around thinking you're Wyatt Earp xxxxxxx with truck drivers. Just because you didn't want to hear the other 10,000 failure stories how a lease purchase didn't work out, and thought you were special in some way and that things were going to be all rainbows and unicorns.
