CRST Tansport

I have never driven for CRST but one was upside down on I-70 near Zanesviile, Ohio yesterday 1/11/2011 I do hope the drivers were ok.

 

I would imagine that the first day of a CRST driving school is much the same as any other. You will see everyone from the highs and lows of society. Most of the 'impossible to employ' catagory are filtered out between day one and day five. I don't know the average rate of graduation from these schools but maybe 25% of the starting number will end up behind the wheel. If I was a sherriff or marshall I would show up at every new schools first day and improve my arrest ratio!

 

I have been driving for CRST for a year and let me tell you, it is not a employee friendly company period. No matter what industry it is involved in. You are not respected as a human being therefore you are being violated on a constant basis. Even if you have some education or common sense they will try you. I don't complain a lot I like to look for solutions with my time and energy but these people are not very high on ethics. From recruiter,orientation, training,dispatch and operations these people are not up to par with a multi million dollar company management or image. They mislead you saying you will make 35k your first year. They give you a hard time when you want to go home.(you will get there when they feel it's time) The tractors are decent but they will have you driving around all day for free looking for an empty trailer. Staff is very disrespectful and condecending. The list goes on, my advice avoid this company. I am getting out of here as soon as I find a local gig. Good luck to all Crst vctims. P.S. I went through the school and signed contract out 12 students I'm the last one left.

 

I recall my first years driving after getting my CDL. I could have made more money at Walley World or mc Dee's. Just be patient, that's trucking, I f you expect to make allot of money the first year, you're sadly mistaken.

 

If you read my blog below in my signature, it will give you an overview of my experience so far with CRST. I didn't have my CDL so I went through Roadmaster in Oklahoma City which was paid by them. I only have to work for them for 8 months to pay it back.
