Professional-Trucker,
Thank you for your comments. What I want to know are more specifics about pay. I know CRST is low pay, but my biggest attraction to them is the 8 month contract. I can then move on to something better. Can you give me a realistic expectation of what I would get in "Take home pay" on a weekly basis? I hear so many different things, but I'm looking for a realistic answer. People have said they are getting $100-$200 per week? How can that be? Even at .22cpm that can't be right?
Thanks and any other insight on CRST would be great!

Punky. 2-300 checks will be pretty normal. I have been with CRST for 2.5 years. Only because I am on a dedicated route, only work 4 days a week. And because I am trying to re-establish some job stability. Before crst I had 5 jobs in 2 years. I would go to covenant if given a do-over. Idk. My first year was about $18,000

Punky. One more thing. The 20/10 program never worked. I tried it for 5 months. . 2 guys will be out 3-4 weeks, one guy at home, broke.

Punky. As you are shopping for employment, look at the cpm pay scale and remember. Crst pays .22cpm for the miles YOU drive. Other companies pay for ALL the miles the truck rolls. Ask about breakdown pay. It will happen. Crst pays $18-22(i dont remember the exact number) to each driver AFTER the second day. So if you sit 1.5 days, you get $0. Not all companies operate this way, you need to research research research. Crst is a training company that takes people right out of jail, prison, fairly recent DUII. Wish I had never started here. EDUCATE YOURSELF
