If anyone can answer this it would be greatly appreciated. Got my cdl last year and worked over the road. For the last 10 months I have worked locally in a straight truck. I have a team partner who I went to school with in a similar situation. I have talked to several companies and all want a refresher. Understandable but my question is this. CRST said they offer a refresher, but if I go for their refresher, will I also be required to sign a contract. I have a call scheduled with the recruiter for a second time, but I know how they like to "word" things and wanted to see if anyone has gone through a refresher with CRST before. Thanks for your time and any info

Just to help somebody reading this post:
CRST is going to held a hiring event july 18th at San Pedro bay Los Angeles.
I am looking for a job I barely know somebody who work for this company. I called them and they offered the lowest rate for beginners 29cpm until others offer 32 to 34.
The only thing I found attractive is their 20 days drive 10 days home program.
I have my license and being driving a refer for the last 6 months with an O/O to gain some experience because the pay is miserable ....and I do not want to go on to details this time may be if somebody ask me.
If someone wants to reply with some help somebody already experienced wit Central Refrigerated?
What about the lease to own program? do you need fair good credit? how can yo get a truck and pay it? what are the rates as a lease to own?
Guys may be to many questions but feel so free to answer whatever you feel to do it.
Ilove this blog hoping to find trully friends and an exchange of experience. I have so many thoughts about the trucking industry from nice to unfair treatment etc.
Fare well you all -
I was told that the 20/10 work/home program had a waiting list. It appears it might not be available everywhere. Anyone have more details? Thanks.

Pretty sure they have 20/10 out here in Fontana, CA.

If you have 6 months experience, don't go to CRST! That is a company for people that can't afford to get a license, don't want to be home and don't mind low pay. CRST makes you pay for everything like tolls, etc and pay you back. They never shorted me but you never know. The thing I hated most about them was they didn't do direct deposit. Always had to use comdata. Big pain in the butt. Also their insurance sucked and the pay was low. I only ran dedicated for them and was home every weekend. Those OTR guys seemed pretty unhappy.
