average joe Thanks this. -
.30mi split???....that's slave wages. And you think England is good what does that make the rest of the hundreds and hundreds of drivers that are posted on here that say they're crap...are we full of it, I don't think so.

I tried CRST a few years ago with the flatbed division. I had my truck and I was going as OO. I quit 3-rd day of orientation after they started to teach us how to secure stuff on the trailer. ONE FULL DAY FOR PEOPLE WHO HAD ALREADY at least 1-2 years experience!
I mean it is ok to teach me interesting stuff but not how to fold a tarp! I met after some time down the road people who were at orientation with me. the first one about 3 months later and he told me that from a class of 25 only about 5 were left and another guy about 6 months after and he told me then when he left there was only one guy from our class....
CRST hires in mass! Just do a search on flatbed on craigs list chicago, 90% of the adds are theirs! Guess why They hire so much!???? -
Drivers come and go in this industry, probably more leave then get hired and for some reason companies don't see anything wrong with that.

CRE is comparable to TMC in this way.
Obviously, TMC is a far better outfit to drive for than CRE, which no one will deny. But the fact is that the dubious status symbol of running around in a shiny truck doesn't put food on a man's table.
Furthermore, and to put it more accurately in the case of CRE and CRST, a polished turd is still a turd.drvrtech77 and average joe Thank this. -
I'd like to know what these mega carrier training companies make from the Federal government with their training programs. Follow the money to get the answer.

Don't sugar coat it, tell us how you really feel.

Heard its 10k per student. You don't think companies could afford new trks and trailers on the loads alone do you? They're not hurting too bad for drivers and prefer the newbies quit so they can hire yet another unfortunate sucker for more subsidy.
