You guys have me so scared I'm going to go curl up in the corner and rock back and forth!
Hubby just started on his 7 month contract. If anybody can make it work it will be him. I just hope he will get some fulfillment from the experience. If it is all bad life just isn't fun anymore.
He really bonded with his 30 day trainer so much we want to adopt him into the family. He was great, treated hubby with respect and gave him a firm foundation in life on the road as a team. Said hubby was the standard that he would always hold new drivers up to.
I'm keeping my prayers flowing, my fingers crossed, and a nice bottle of wine on the shelf.schristopher69, NVCowboy and jack_knife_jimmy Thank this. -

I was just checking to see if you went through with CRST and how it is? Just looking for good responses if they are there. Thanks and good luck.

Just a note to say my husband is still very happy with CRST. He started late October in the Fontana school. CRST may be cheap in some areas but they have a strong business in this bad economy. While other trucking companies are going out of business and losing freight, CRST has not been effected.
The schools however should be slowed down or closed for sure. The "training company" era needs to readjust to the changing economy. It is not easy. My husband got really lucky with his co-driver who was also a recent graduate. They both have the same work ethic, are already experienced with driving, learn fast and get along. Money is just starting to roll in as the dispatcher gets to know them as a dependable team with full endorsements.
My husband will make this work no matter what as far as completing the contract. When he is done with his contract we will explore all options. We have a friend who is still earning a high income working with the CRST lease program, which has been reported here as being a bad deal. If there is a better deal out there we will have to find it.
Good luck bordo, hope you check in and let us know how you are doing.jack_knife_jimmy Thanks this. -
Update feb 03, 09
Some dispatchers just don't like you. Some will tell you to hurry up and find a partner or rush ur butt to the truck to get rollin. Some will disrespect your butt till a point you wanna just go over there and open a can. Remember boys and girls many but not all CRST dispatchers are jerks
Well I've been looking at my pay stubs and i see some deductions that don't make sense. I haven't been adding miles but some deductions feels like the sky is falling. I have a deduction for $241.00 i think they messed up my Lumper.. Another for $200.00 with code AR "Auto Deficit AMT" also a $70.00 deduction for EZ pass toll which my partner passed on his own i paid all my toll roads. Something just doesn't make sense.. What shall i do.. I'm a bit pissed . Thats $500.00 in the same month.. WTF is CRST doing with my money! IMA F the payroll paper UP! Someone from CRST help me out on this. I know CRST is one of the cheapest of all trucking industry and that's how they make money even when they are almost a 1billion$ company.Payroll is going to hear this in the morning and they better not BS. cheap ##s dirt bags.
Bordom the pissed off!Last edited by a moderator: Feb 4, 2009

i just finished my 28 day on the road training went threw there school the school and orientation was fine but has went down hill from there i still can not get a copy of my contract from them i am told i do not need one
after orientation i had to drive a rental car from fontana ca to cedar rapids IA then i sat in a motel for one week then hoped on a bus in cedar rapids to indianapolis indiana was on the truck for three weeks and one of those weeks was sitting no loads after sitting for a week
i was told to get on a greyhound in columbus ohio and head back to fontana ca even though they where supposeto get me on a load to my terminal so i sat on the bus for 3 days and now i am sitting at home for 3 days because the greyhound time is being counted as home time i am suppose to be at the fontana yard tuesday to wait for a truck -
