Yeah. Cruise control for highway, and then for high-idle when I'm parked
-
The cruise setting at idle is the PTO. Might be a fault in the PTO sytem. Any codes present?
-
IF you know, how exactly would the PTO manage high idle? You're saying its wired through my hydraulic pump/system? And Im checking for codes right now.
-
That's just how the ECM is wired. It's programmed to bump the idle speed and disable the shutdown when you hit resume on the cruise for using a PTO sytem, even if none is actually present.
For some reason yours is disabled, either by a fault in the system or its somehow been turned off. -
Does the resume work on the cruise control when you're on the road?
-
Yeah, cruise control works perfectly fine when Im on the road.
-
You might have to have it hooked up to a computer to see if the system has somehow been disabled.
-
Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. I'll have it looked at.
-
No problem. I love Volvo Trucks but they can be electrical headaches. My 2015 was in the shop for almost 3 weeks to fix a complete dashboard power loss. They literally had to test every circuit.
I've had the road cruise not work but the idle up PTO worked just fine. Never experienced the opposite lol.
