Crushed Car rate?

I hate doing the crushed car loads. I got a ticket 2 weeks ago from TN Dot on I40 EB MM50 for a mirror on one of the doors exceeding 13' 6" by a few inches. I was only 30 miles from delivery and the ticket is $225. So between that and constantly blowing tires i don't like to do it.

 

Did scrap metals including crushed/baled cars. We ran some raggedy tires. It would hurt my heart to cut a high dollar tire. While there is money to be made doing it local here in Atlanta, somedays, it just wasn't worth it.

DOT had a hardon for them trucks. Overweight, oversize and ratty equipment was the norm. It was a race to the bottom for who would do it cheaper. Got out in time.
