Cryptocurrency - help me understand please.

I took a gamble with what a couple restaurant dinners are worth. If it disappears, not the end of the world.

 

How did it work out?

 

... Probably gone considering we are in the longest bear market ... If you sold it - you lost it ... but we HODL pristine assets

 

Guy that does my taxes is a pretty big time investor. He said never in a million years fool with crypto.

The FB scams are rife with people hustling crypto.

 

Everyone is waiting for ETF approval, it will happen before BTC halving and then institutional money will break the flood gate and you will see new ATH for solid project , banks have whole departments waiting for ETF approval to offer cryptocurrency investment... Its not the question if - but when ... Larry Fink is on top at the moment of buying miner stocks and with his approval rate from SEC - just a matter of time to get it done

 

My advise for someone buying truck - buy BTC instead , second half of 2024 and 2025 will be wild ride ... unless of course we will see black swan events ... Middle east is on the rise , i think oil will hit 300 in distant future if Iran will get involved in all this mess , currency debasement all time high , you think $5per gallon expensive - just wait ... And the printer is already started printing...

 

The way it’s looking now, we could very well have multiple once-in-a-generation type black swan events occurring in combination with each other. I don’t know why anyone would put a money into an asset class so rife with fraud.

 

The guy who trained me was into crypto and made some 5 figure money, then lost half. I asked him what is the value in crypto, and he said it's if people will buy it, it goes up in value. I said, " but what is its value?" It turned into a circular explanation.

 

... Poor explanation... He is a gambler
