CSA 2010 causing Prime driver shortage

Man this is good... We havent had it this good in a while. Wish I knew where that old thread was where the guy was spouting off about a conspiracy involving shackles and railroad cars... how they were going to round up Americans etc...

 

Well...

D-man was saying you were at the top of the list. Now the secret UN army hiding in Canada still has the ultra-top-secret marching instructions on the interstate signs, but the DOT bear in the SD coop was asking me where you are because they don't know how to download your elogs...

Now THAT's a conspiracy!

 

BTW... I had my first DOT log "download" at the Boise, ID scale the other day. Seems that if they are kind enough to give you the bypass lane green "X" they dont like you running the bypass lane at 25mph (i missed the 5mph sign)

Scale house gave me the fax number. I punched it into the QC and 10 minutes later a fax came in from Qualcomm with my last 8 days. Wasnt much to look at after being home for 4 days.

DOT was going to throw them away, but I asked for them so I could see what they looked like. I will use them on my next trainee.

Everything OK... no ticket on the speed issue.

BTW every correction you make in the QC has a symbol that indicates you have done so for that particular entry on the fax copy.

 

Many who have sleep apnea do not know they do. And they've had the condition for so long as to not know they are not getting restorative sleep. Weight and apnea are closely related, so that is why they are going after fatigued driving from that angle. There are vast numbers of excellent drivers who are heavy. However, there are enough heavy drivers who are driving fatigued because they do not know they are apneic when they sleep. Imagine how much better they will feel when they get a real night's sleep and keep their oxygen levels at an optimal level.

I've heard so many people say they were resistant to getting a CPAP because they didn't want to go to bed looking like a Borg. But after about two weeks of use, they wouldn't live without it. Their energy level is much higher, mood is better and they just feel more alive. That's their description...not mine. If a sleep study and CPAP improve even 30% of people's well-being, it will make our roads safer.

I'm kind of on the fence, though, because I also have this little belief in right to privacy and where will the Nanny State end, but at the same time, want everyone around me to be safe. For me, it's a delicate balance.

I agree about the army(lol) my brother-inlaw told me about it.

So will they take that in acount?
I have a buddy that is getting ready to contact them ,but he has a good bit of muscle mass(he look's like a pitt)
I admit he has lost 40 pounds but still looks very big ,his bodyfat even though he isnt into the get big anymore is under 11%.
I am not really sure what bfi ,i thought it was body-mass -index????

Sorry i just wanted him informed before he goes down there.
