Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

I believe in the next few months that it will be easier for someone who has never driven before to get a driving job than someone with experience, REGARDLESS of their driving record!
Who wants a grumpy, set in his way experienced driver making 36-42 cpm when they can get some newbie that has no bad habits and will do what he is told glaldly for 26-28 cpm???
Odd, isnt it??? Experience used to be needed to get in, but now it seems like too much experience and you are done, no one wants you! -

The companies are more inclined to hire experience with a good record than no experience with no record. Insurance is a major expense in trucking and the drivers record and experience have an effect on that expense. The driver with 10 years experience that has a good record will find a job. The same experience with a spotty record will have a more difficult time and the poor record will not have any luck working for a decent company.
The companies have to live with the record of every driver they hire for 3 years. If they hire too many drivers with poor records it could have a negative effect on there operating authority. The companies, if they have 1 or 5000 power units, are in business to stay in business and to make a profit. Without profit there are no jobs for anyone.Last edited: Dec 31, 2009

The companies which have set up "schools" to make more profits off people who don't know any better have used their lobbying group to rewrite the laws to their own advantage. The government, which is made up of the same kind of slime, has gone along with it quite happily while pocketing their "contributions" (bribes.) Safety does not enter into it as anything more than a weak excuse.

The megacarriers hauling third world products will still have plenty of newbies begging for jobs and will have no reason to improve conditions . -

I got this straight from my affiliate owner . The carrier will reduce their fleet before they lower the standards they have had for years . Other first rate carriers feel the same . There will be a shortage of drivers for tankers , oversize , flatbed and a few others .

Keep track of this comment and see what happens in 3 years.
I expect no change except for the move to electronic logs. -
No worries, I'll give it a bump in 2-3 years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
