Perhaps I should have just taken the skut job at the sawmill instead of trying to become a truck driver in 2010.....

Since they mentioned cell phones for commercial drivers in their future rulemaking plans,I wonder what they are going to try on us next. No handsfree units while moving? Take a number to use shoulder.

Supposedly you log on to this site to see your scores. I don't know if the information is public or private.

I think this dog is going to hunt regardless of it's imperfections. I'm certainly just guessing here, but I think Ferro has an ace up her sleeve. She can stall full implementation, particularly as it relates to Safety Fitness Determinations. There has to be a "rule making" first. How long will that take? Who knows...first, I think, you have to have an ANPRM (Advance Notice of Proposed Rule Making), then NPRM, then the Rule, then the Final Rule, and on and on. I'm really not sure of the sequence of events, but I do believe the events that lead up to "nut-cuttin' scores" can and will be manipulated until DOT is certain that they won't throw the industry (not to mention the U.S. as a whole) into a complete tailspin with hasty, premature axe-grinding.

I dont think things will change too much from how they are now. I just see stiffer penalties when you mess up. Also as another poster mentioned, I think this will feed alot of egos on the enforcement side knowing they have more power over us. They will give no leeway and we will get dinged for every little thing...atleast until the "new" wears off of this program.
I just wish that this CSA 2010 would also impliment harsher penalties for 4wheelers since the statistics show they are more at fault for accidents than we are. Oh, that wont happen since the law makers are "4wheelers" themselves.
I can see it might have a positive effect on driver pay, but the "weeds" will have to be pulled long before that will happen.
