Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

That link is for the carriers not the drivers. -
I thought the question was about carrier reports originally tho, my mistake. -
Everyone has been tracked since 2008-It doesn't matter when it kicks in-it has!!! Probably going to get worse--buy a mechanics dolly and have it on the truck!!
-
No sh##@t!!! No one in the current industry seems to understand this!!

I wouldn't say they "care". I guess to be politically correct, they are trying to close all loopholes before "kicking it off the ground", of course, retro for 3 years--drivers behalf. Yup, loved the letter MN sent off to them, basically told them how to shut some of these---DUH!! My point is that none of these people have probably ever been in a truck--so if one can get their point across without showing a potential liability on themselves- on one of many issues--this would be a starting point. What better of a proof reader than a driver themselves. Upon reading rules, interpretations and consequences comes this:
Rage, followed by
Oh Wait A Minute- Found a Loophole
Do they know what they've done. This is pretty cool!! -

How did your UA come back, pos or neg? What did the police report say, preventable or non? Did the police review your logbook?
Either way the crash goes against the motor carrier's score. The feds have data that suggests that all crashes, preventable or non, statistically makes the carrier more likely to be unsafe compared to its peers.
The driver, however only gets points if the accident was preventable.
I just read this on this website: HTTP://CSA2010.FMCSA.DOT.GOV/
I also just checked my own record, which companies can now see for themselves. It goes back three years for violations and inspections, as well as five years for crashes. You can check yours for $10 here:
http://www.psp.fmcsa.dot.gov/Pages/default.aspx
The $10 report does not contain any point scoring system. Only the feds have that information. The only time the carriers will learn of your points is if the feds do an investigation of the company. Then any violations or points earned for the last 24 months by a driver employed by the carrier, will be reveled to the carrier under investigation.
Your points you earned while employed by your current carrier do not carry forward to count against your next employer. Likewise it takes 24 months after you leave a carrier, for the points to gradually be reduced to where it doesn't affect the carrier's safety rating.
The Pre Employment Screening Program (PSP), is one tool that carriers have to measure your safety, under CSA2010. Drivers with unfavorable reports will find it hard to find good carriers to hire them. I would suggest every driver purchase a copy of their report and ask any future employers if they are likely to be hired, before quitting your current job.

zentrucking Thanks this. -
Why would anyone give the FMCSA 10 bucks to see there report when your company should do it for you?chalupa Thanks this. -
And FYI for all, my carrier says 85 points are his current " line in the sand " for hire / no hire. He does expect to move that number north however but for now......
