I suggested using roadsideresume on 3/01 and have had no problems viewing my report every month. I know others using the (free) service without any problems.

Mail the logs and inspection reports at the next truck stop, and beware it is all about control. After that it's a cake walk..

And the guy who answered was pretty nice... we spent one hr... I offered to visit the office in person... but he checked my records and told me the windshield violation was removed from their records
It doesn't show on FMCSA records any more.
I told my company and they confirmed that as well.
However, I found out that the company that my company uses to check drivers' records and collets data on them is having issues with FMCSA and causing glitches and wrong info... which is creating many problems to my company and to the drivers... my windshield violation still shows there...
Now my company will have to deal with this mess that FMCSA and CSA has created...
Guy at FMCSA office said they have been overwhelmed with challenges and responses.... -
My company had what they called "a troublesome event" with the CSA which caused them to be removed from the PrePass program an unknown period of time...
So now, we will have to enter every weigh station....
This is not good at all.

My trainer at my new job got popped for speeding. The cop said, "if I give you an inspection and you pass? You get a warning on the speeding."
He passed. The warning is on his record........... -
Time to sign up for eLogs, you'll save some time at the scales until the DOT learns how to read them. -
I just signed up too and can't get my report because my carrier is not a member.......

My problem with the whole CSA thing is this: The way the points are assigned.
I was looking at the FMCSA posters at work and found out that a 6 month old (additional points for accidents that varies based on child's age) is worth more than a 5 year old. And if you are in an accident it's 10 points. Regardless of whether you cause it or not (as plainly stated on poster issued by the feds). Meaning if I cause an accident with a vehicle that contains a 5 year old, I would receive fewer points than if you were hit by a mother driving a car that has an infant in it (and the cops plainly state that it's not your fault, but being that accident points are assigned regardless of fault.....) How is it that a head light that's out is worth 6 points but CAUSING and accident is only a few more at 10 points? A little unfair.
My ultimate problem is that the points are not assigned after conviction, but reported incident. You so-called experts can dispute this all you want, but how does a driver argue points that are assigned regardless of fault?
Just another case of of politicians giving their buddies a job as a bureaucrat. We can thank our highly esteemed lobbyists for all this.
We have only ourselves (as Americans, not just truck drivers) to blame. We keep voting Schummer, Franks, Boehner, and all of the other croonies right back into office. We serve them to doom ourselves for their gain.Last edited: Jul 3, 2011

If the feds really wanted to "clean up the act" within this industry (or any other industry for that matter) they would go after the companies much harder. As a whole they ALL send out trucks they full well know shouldn't. They all send out trucks that have been wrote up for violations. And what are we supposed to do? Not feed our families? They can just find another driver who will drive it. McDonald's won't exactly replace my current paycheck.
And they should also make it so that drivers don't loose money when getting necessary repairs. My company is good on that, but we all know about those companies who don't pay when a driver has a break down. They loose out and then the truck keeps going anyway on the bald tire, broken springs, or whatever the issue is. And then the driver gets double penalized for it (loss of pay and penalties) meanwhile the company couldn't care less because because they have 50,000 other trucks that managed to sneak by.
And we all know about the serious deficiencies in the bus industry. We've all seen the drivers driving a 100 miles an hour in a snow storm, cutting people off and whatnot. And you can't tell me that it just so happens that the way they all happen to drive. It's the companies. Go after the companies. And things will change. -
I start to believe the government wants to destroy the trucking industry in favor of the rail industry. Or at least destroy OTR and keep trucks running only local.
