Trucking is right the opposite to being a regular citizen. A regular citizen is innocent til proven guilty. A trucker is Guilty til proven innocent! And now, since you cant fight tickets anymore, you might as well bend over!LOL

Agreed. A friend was hammered in NC last month because the pigtail came out of the back of the tractor. Inop tail lights, inop stop lights (+2 OOS), inop turn signals (+2 OOS). Plugged it back in and they all worked. The LEO didn't have to go that far. I can see writing him for one of the above, but imo placing him OOS for less than a one minute repair is absurd.

    Ok Roger...two examples here:

I did company for 6 months at the #3 tank carrier while waiting ...his line in the sand was 85 to hire.

After co. I went L/P...... bottom of the line carrier with high CSA scores. If you owned 10 wheels and had a temp, you had a job. They always claimed 100 was their line in the sand HOWEVER , I knew certain drivers were much higher, I knew one had a pending DWI, ( so did they ) and I know they rubber stamped many other training docs so it really depends on the carriers need.

This is what I love about FMCSA scores too........These folks I speak of...strictly boot leg. Always looking the other way. Had one driver get caught in AZ with 2 log books and no BOL for hazmat....no problem ...we still love ya! ok fine.... Then they go after this major slab of business from one of the top chemical producers in Houston.....and get shown the door because of their scores. Then had the nerve to beech us out at the safety mtg....it's our fault they said........

So it depends.......personally I have a zero and a clean record. Main reason for that is what I do, lots of pre loads and shuttles at night..... no bears, no bosses n a good wage.

So basically 0 is the best obviously. But if you do get violations. You want to stay under 50? I mean no body's perfect. All the miles we drive over the years your bound to have a couple.

Exactly....carriers can see and will use your PSP to hire and determine pay. If you have a 30 and I have a 10 with everything else equal, guess who gets the job?

    Good hunting....
