yes he gave me a level 3 inspection,i did have to sign for the warning.my main question how bad will this effect me
right now, that's a 3 pointer you got there. NOW, if and when CSA 2010/2011 comes on line, let's say in a few months, since this was given to you rather recently, and it'll be with-in 12 months of CSA coming online, you will have those points DOUBLED right out of the box...so you go from 3 to 6 right away...... i don't know what an employer will think or say......but you know you should NOT have been in the wrong lane. no one will want to hear why you were there. the ticket/warning speaks for itself. i don't know about indiana state police, but out here in Mass,CT, and RI a trooper WILL show up in court, or he will be suspended from the force.
Indiania is strict on that 3rd lane violation. I got one just for going almost 1/2 way in then I realized I was making a BooBoo and went back but even in court they got their $165! The Judge, after I told him what I did asked me," so after seeing all those signs you still tried to go into that left lane/" And I answered "yes sir" and the r just barely made it out when he was slamming the gravel down and saying One Hundred sixty five dollars , pay at the window next case and that was that! I can't say those wheels of justice needed any oil but some rust would have helped!
Tell me more. I keep hearing all this gov. propaganda about no inspection no points. I don't believe that to be the case.
the DOT officer can do a "level 3" inspection on the driver only. in this case, this driver here said he got handed paper work to turn in to his employer. he was given a warning. there fore, he has points assessed to him now of 3 for his violation. it does NOT have to be a vehicle inspection.
I thought there was more to the story than "That big, bad, DOT nailed me....."..... Next time....give us the whole story....Instead of the "Victim" version....
Then you need to read more. CSA is totally connected to inspections. If you receive a speeding ticket, or any ticket, and they do not do an inspection, then you get no points. The only way the violation/ warning can get into their system is by an inspection report being filed.
Oh, and points are counted x3 the first year. So 3 points is 9 for 12 months, then 6 for the second year, then 3 for the third year, then they drop off.
CD, when did it change to triple points...?? i had only read it was supposed to be doubled if the driver got the ticket/warning with in 12 months BEFORE CSA2010/2011 starts.....i had not read the X's 3.... ( i am re-reading the data from a link i think you provided)
