Translation: Werner Eneterprises, ewwww! Coastal Transport in balto (Baltimore?) is doing good. Bad news they (CCC Transportation in FL) lost the Anheuser Busch account. How low (underbidding) do these companies go to get a contract? At the end it's the driver who makes no money. We had some drivers switch to flatbed division while in orientation in Georgia. (presumably to make a live-able wage)

    Rick_C and losttrucker Thank this.

I will never understand why so many experienced drivers work there. I know a guy who worked for them for 10 uears until my dad convinced him to join Energy Dispatch, very good outfit out of Jax and other cities.

Hopefully this horrid excuse of a company will see its demise soon.

I hope so too. They would have people come in on the weekend and pull 1 short 60 mile load. 4-5 hours round trip including unload time, and pay us $25 for it. I don't understand how that is legal. It's not even worth getting out of bed on Saturday to make that kind of money. No shag pay either since they're "local". Pathetic.

I went to work for them six weeks ago (flatbed), went through the training and got my 5200 miles (logged 7300 miles) and have to take another road test to find out if I'm truely hired. I found out some things about the company during that time. If they say "we run southeast southwest runs only" thats not correct. I was told that my first few months out on my own would most likely be northeast runs, NY, NJ, PA. Home everyweekend is a fight to. The termial manager will keep you out there if he can get away with it. Also, when they send you on your pickup and delievers they don't always give you all the info to get the job done. We made a run up to MD to make two drop's with no directions on how to get there. We ask for directions and were told we'll get back to you. We found our way there ourselfs from the BOL's and made both drops. Four hours later they sent the direction to us when we were already loaded on the next run and on the road. My trainer was upset with them one week. I made more in one week on training pay than he made on mileage pay for the same week. Back to the final road test, I called the TM this morning to find out when the road test will be. He said he didn't know he would have to find somebody to do it and he would let me know. So I'm at home. I've also heard that the Mocksville termial will be closed to along with Sahvannah. I have mixed opinions about this company now, may go flip burgers somewhere.

ctl called me yesterday askin if I wanted to work a dedicated run for a local company that's 5 miles from my apt. They claim 1-3 days out and back couple times a week, and 800 bucks a week.
