Just because the trailer says bud light doesn't mean that's what is inside of it. When I worked there we pulled all kinds of freight in budweiser trucks. Trust me, they lost it. I work near there terminal and I've seen how their company is on the verge of closing their doors.

Willis Shaw used to be good but there have been so many changes in the office and with hiring FM's with little or no experience that it has gone way downhill with them. As of the end of March, drivers STILL had not gotten the other 5% pay cut back that was promised LAST summer. I was with WSE 3 1/2 years and made around $30k/yr. i did about the same with CTL locally before I got laid off with 149 other drivers.... and that was just the first round of layoffs.. I did enjoy that job though and the people in Mulberry were good. They didn't promise much, but they delivered. I don't know how it is now.

Luckily when I was lookin for work 2 months ago I heard from TJ, recruiter at WEL. So far WEL has been the best company I've worked with in 9 yrs holding a steering wheel.

I've been with CTL fro 11 months and run OTR.I average 2600-3100 miles a week and get home on a regular basis. They are a good company to start with and learn tankers.I work out of the Sterlington,La.teminal.Just go home Fri.night and report back Mon.Had 3200 miles last week. You just got to let them know how hard you want to run.

I am new with CT, still training and I have nothing but good things to say. The drivers I have spoke with have some of your normal complaints i.e. DISPATCHER issues (that is with most companies), trucks are older (but they are soon replacing over 250 of their older fleet), but honestly, I have not learned enough from the company to run away. These are the two biggest complaints I have learned, so I am not going to turn my back on the company that works hard to get me home every weekend.

I was told on the first day of orientation that I would possibly see some NE and MO/TX too. The way I look at it, the other companies are going to have in you these areas and more.

The complaints I have read about the lack of directions given to you by the TM...I hate to be a prick, but isn't that what trip planning is for? On all the BOL I have seen, they provide a phone number and an address.

I have met a couple of drivers that have been with the company for five or more years (one over 15) and they seemed to be happy overall. Sure everyone (including them) had complaints, but who doesn't at times?
