Go Cubs!
The entire Chicago area will have terrible traffic due to the parade tomorrow (Friday). If you're driving, keep that radio on channel 19. And if you are a CB Rambo, find a new channel. You have 39 other channels to use.

Man what a game it was.
Absolutely fantastic!BTShepp Thanks this. -
Bad news. Chicago is chock full o' base-station CB rambos that love to clog up 19. I call 'em "base-tards"

You're right. On 290 there's that guy that always keys up saying he ain't got no panties on at the Burger King. But even worse is the guy out in Lyons or LaGrange near 55. He just has his illuminati political discussions on channel 19. What he doesn't seem to have is a job.

And in "Chicago North" or "Chicago Jr", whichever you prefer to call Milwaukee, there's "Number One Mister Nice Guy" who constantly harasses truck drivers. I feel sorry for these people. What a miserable life you must have if getting on your base station and harassing people for hours and hours a day is what you do to get your kicks.
It is surely a sign of severe mental illness if there ever was one.Ougigoug Thanks this. -
There's a couple of cb clowns on the south end of I 294
Around 95th. And 159th. Both are very annoyingstayinback Thanks this. -
Sadly these kind of people's are scattered all over the place...
I remember Tulsa & Las Vegas & Houston had their share of it too. -
Hell of a series. Bugged me how many bases Contreras allowed the Indians to take due to his not turning the glove around and moving his body to keep the ball in front of him...kept trying to drop the glove on top of the ball to trap it when it came in low. I would've been running laps all practice if I'd done that behind the plate in little league. Lester...sure, he can pitch. Beyond that, he's pretty useless. Won't even ATTEMPT to pick off a runner, and the runners knew it. Watches the ball dribble by instead of fielding it, because if he fields it he'd have to throw to a base. How the F do you make it to the pros when you CAN'T throw to the bases? Then there were the typical big leaguers watching the ball they just hit instead of hustling down the line to 1st. Heck, that pop-up to Napoli short of the bag but just barely fair (in the base path), I would've been racing down the line either hollering "I GOT IT I GOT IT" or waited until he was about to catch it, stomp my feet real hard and yell "LOOK OUT" just to get in his head and force the error. Contreras again in the batters box dodging the pitch. Top of the 10th, bases loaded, stand there and take it like a man...like Rizzo had done earlier in the game! Get hit by the pitch and another run scores. You're on base, and that's all that matters. It only stings for a second or two.
Yeah, it was fun. I grew up a Cubs fan...watching every game I could, playing every chance I got. Made it to Wrigley a few times per year. Then in high school, they went on strike...and I lost interest in the game. Bunch of grown men crying about not making enough money playing a game millions of kids (me included) would have given our right arm to do for even a single day at that level. P on 'em I said, and I quit watching and other than a few years on a softball league (16", no gloves), haven't really played since either. Still like hearing about the Cubs doing well, though...and darn good to see 'em win it all.Ougigoug Thanks this. -
