Hard to imagine a guy with "paccar" in his name wouldn't be a little biased. Say what you want about Paccar engines, it is FACT that very few fleets or O/O's are buying them for a second time. I didn't mean to insinuate that you ONLY recommend Paccar, just that you are obviously somewhat biased when asked the question "should I buy Paccar or Cummins"? I can honestly say that I would have bought a Paccar two years ago if I was in the market. It would have been a costly mistake. I believed the hype about running several engines a million miles with no problems. It was all BS. Very few people have run an MX more than 500K without being inside the oil pan. Spin it however you want, reality is NOBODY who has owned one is buying another if they don't have to.

I ran a Paccar for two weeks in a truck I rented while I was waiting for my KW to be ready. Based on that experience, I would never pay for one and would never volunteer to drive one.

    ??
In our dealership we have only been in the oil pan for the engines with the faulty wrist pins. Never had one apart other then that. Plenty over 500k. Never mech issues, always seems to be after treatment related.
