If there is oil in the intake line to the compressor you might have more than a faulty compressor. If it's sucking oil in its going to blow oil out. I have an n14 and replaced the compressor only to find out the oil was coming from the intake.
Be sure to replace your air dryer as well.Heavyd Thanks this. -
Excellent point! Yes, you will need to replace your air dryer. The oil contamination destroys the descant filter in the dryer, making it useless.

I know I will need a dryer filter. The intake of the compressor was dry. My assumption was wrong and the answer I got on here was correct.

Pulled it yesterday and he picked it up. Core charge was $900! So I will install it today or Monday.

Before you install it check to see how much play you're accessory drive has its mounted right in front of the compressor it should have very very little when they go bad they get a lot of play on the bearing as far a in and out its better to replace it now then pay for double the labor
