I bought the truck. I really haven’t had much time to get out there and really check it out due to weather and work. Hauling pigs in northwest Iowa keeps you busy and the days I have had off so far haven’t been the best for crawling around in the snow and ice checking it out.

It made the 8 hour trip home from Chicago without any problems. I just hopped in and drove it back. I don’t have a shop or anything to work out of yet, and living in an apartment, I can’t drag an extension cord across the street where to I park for block heaters and stuff, so it’s a little hard to start sometimes, but that’s all I’ve noticed so far.

I bought the truck mostly as a spare truck. My main truck I work every day is a 2015 Cascadia, and it’s coming up on 1.2 million miles without any major engine work being done yet, so I wanted a truck that was relatively easy to work on myself so I could jump in and keep working every day once the Cascadia goes down. One day I would like to really get into the Pete and keep it as a working project and make it a really nice truck again, but it’ll serve my needs if I can work it for a month or two at a time right now.
