A 13 is still low miles? I thought emissions were good till around 400k to 450k. Then big money.

This is who my mechanic gets their software through, don't know if they will sell you just the software and adapter or if you need to also purchase their laptop. The annual renewal is $850. You may want to check out Cummins PowerSpec, the software is free but you have to buy the Inline adapter from your Cummins dealer, which is about $600 one-time, and the annual updates to PowerSpec are still free, although it does not have the same functionality of Insite it is pretty useful for a single truck owner and actually can be licensed for up to 5 engine serial numbers if you happen to have a Cummins in your pickup truck or a buddies truck also.

You can buy a nexiq usb link and software off ebay for around 350. its chinese software but will allow you to read codes, adjust parameter and run diag test. Cummins powerspec is free but only allows codes to be read and customer parameters changed, lile speed limits. the chinese software works good, I havent had any issues with it

You can easily find where and how to get it from his website. I'm running one of his tunes in my truck and I've been down there twice......wouldn't do it any other way. Have a dedicated lap top just for that though.

I have asked at a dealer shop about Insite They said it cost $2300 for the software and 5-6 hundred a year for the upgrades. They said I wouldn't need the upgrades because that refers to the upgrading for each new year of truck/engine model year.

Insite was too pricey for my liking. I downloaded Powerspec for free and bought the Nexiq hardware from a Snap On truck that travels around to the garages. It allows me to read codes and change speed limiter settings so it does what I wanted. *wireless Internet connection required.
Powerspec has a real good tech support telephone line call them up

You can get a 500 use liscense for insite 8.2 on odb2eshop.com for 99$. So that’s just 20c to run the program. You can get it with an inline 6 for about 300$ Total including freight.

I’m in need of the basic and pro keys for insite 7.6.2 for the laptop I’m putting it on. The pcid is F0AA3F9F if someone has a way to generate a key I would appreciate it.
