Thank you Rawze, i just replaced MAP, DELTA-P, back presure and EGR temp sensors on my 2008 PROSTAR ($398). I will do force regen once i get INSITE i ordered last week. I can feel more boost from turbo but no MPG gain. Looking for tourbo boost gauge that vill fit in one of the holes on dash of a PROSTAR. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION ON THIS FORUM.

Been through 3 VGT's.....2 EGR coolers....On Second DPF....
Now it's back in the shop to replace the Catalytic Element and the Doser Injector....
I have over one year left on a 500,000 mile/5 year warranty...But the above is not covered since the EGR didn't fail.....This time..... -

Rawze,
I have read this whole thing. I have to go to California. So. I have a 2006 year model Detroit series 60 and am thinking of putting a bullet in my head. No, just kidding. I am thinking of installing a Johnson Mathey ACCRT retrofitted DPF. No regen because its passive. Detroit recommends using the datalogger in the winter to get cold exhaust temps. Then after you have the thing installed they recommend cleaning the DPF every 60K miles. So do you know anyone who has done this retrofit? I am researching this heavily. I. like you. Get tired of hearing about how people can't make something work because they don't know how it works.
My truck is all original, gets 7 MPG and has 600K miles on the engine. My tires were only supposed to last 500K miles, but at 300K miles on them, I am less than half way through the tread life. The point is that I take care of my stuff and read heavily about maintenance. I am looking for success stories from people who have done the retrofitted DPF on the Series 60 14L. If you run across any or know of a reputable shop who can be trusted, please post it.
Thanks and I look forward to returning the favor.
