by the way can anybody tell me where dcu ( doser control unit ) is located on 2010 maxxforce dt engine. the scanner says there is no communication with the nodule and i am trying to check the wiring. thank you in advance.

 

Bottom of the cab behind the left wheel well fender on the outside.

No, that is the engine ecm.

 

how do i access it ( doser control unit ) ? from inside the cab or under the hood ?

Under the hood. It's basically mounted upside down on the bottom of the cab floor under where your feet would be. You need to remove the inner fender behind the steer tire there.
