Good afternoon!!! I’m wondering has anyone had a similar problem.... I have a 2007 International 9400i with a Cummins ISX motor. Few weeks ago I noticed diesel was being pulled from driver side tank and not pulling from the passenger side. Took the truck to my local mom and pop mechanic. Couldn’t find the problem. He tells me to take the truck and that he fixed a “breather” issue. Truck runs great for 150 then throws a 128:F01 code on dash. I look it up only to find it’s a low fuel pressure code. Truck looses throttle. No power, runs really sluggish. I also notice that the passenger tank is filling up and over flowing. I take the truck back to my mechanic and he changes the fuel pump both high pressure and the lift pump. As it turns out he was it had nothing to do with the diesel flow. Took it to International and replaced the vents. No more problems with the flow of the fuel , however, I’m getting the low pressure code randomly. It goes active while at idle and the truck surges. I had the mechanic change the high pressure pump again and now it only stays active for a few seconds to a couple minutes. It surges while it’s active then goes away completely. Again, before the second high pressure pump the truck losses power indefinitely. With the second high pressure pump it throws a code temporarily and either goes passive on it’s own or will go passive once I’m driving and again drive perfect for 3 or 400 miles and maybe throw the code for a minute or two. Surge while the code is active then go passive again and drive perfectly. 2 weeks at International and no problem found. Any suggestions will help. Just put 25k into this motor and I’m afraid to run a load.

Looks like you have passenger side fuel pick up tube cracked and air in fuel. How are tubes plumbed in to tank? If it from the top the crack could be inside the tank above fuel level. If tubes plumbed in the middle of the tank look all connections o-rings.
Did any mechanic was smart enough to do tests before wasting your 25 grands? -

To check pick up tube you need to remove it from the tank. On some trucks it's under cab so need to drop or rotate whole fuel tank. -

If this happens frequently, I would bypass all supply lines and run a line directly from the supply port into the tank, bypassing all fuel supply lines.
Prime and start truck. If the fault reoccurs, your problem is forward, and if it doesn't, you have a supply side issue. -
