On the drawing I saw on quickserv. The two regulators are. One was under the shut off, the other is next to the fuel line going above the lift pump? Drawing says #25 and 41? Correct? Sensor was 53? Just checking as I don't know what a rear actuator is. The fuel line actually blocks it so has to come off to change the rear one?

Yes, 25 and 41 are the regulators.

SPN and FMI codes are generic standard for OBD.

For those of us in the industry use the Cummins codes exclusively that work on the product daily.

One thing I could add, although my engine seems to match these drawings exactly. It may not be a 2006. When I last went to Volvo and they scanned it a year ago. It came up as the engine had been replaced with an 2008. But the data plate on the valve cover says 2006. So not sure which engine it really is although it does match the 06 drawings.

I cant afford to buy another expensive scanner. I'll have to stick to translating the FMI codes. If it gets to crazy I'll have to pay Volvo to scan it with there special plug.

Quick question here. On my pick up truck I have the powerstroke motor. When its injection control pressure sensor fails it does a similar thing as my cummins isx. The manual says you can unplug it and the truck will run fine until replaced. It runs on a default pressure. Its actually the test to see if the sensor is bad. If you unplug it and the motor recovers, then the sensor is pooched. Can I do the same here? If I unplug it will it default and run properly? I was hoping it would pinpoint which part is actually gone. Guess I could replace them 1 at a time to see which. Its a PITA to get at all of them , so it would help to do an unplug test. Don't want to hurt anything else though.

You have access to cummins quickserve just go to service/then click RELATED INFORMATION button.

In next menu click SPN/FMI to CUMMINS FAULT CODES.

Ok, Thanks for all the help guys. Went out got a fuel sensor and both regulators. 650 bucks. Ouch. Went for the fuel sensor first. Started up, ran rough for a few seconds, think it got air in there from the sensor change. Smoothed out and the code disappeared. Went for a drive and I think I have more power than before. LOL. Anyway, returned the regulators, got 400 back. Really appreciate all the help. Life saver. I will definitely will come here for advice in the future. Thanks again
Guess I should mention, the one I took out was the original!!!!! 1.1 million miles on that puppy.
