Who that has commented thus far works on engines everyday? Not a driver not an owner op. Actually dissasembles and reassembles these engines on a daily basis as to give this advice? Not a buddy you have or a guy at a stealership you know, you Personally. 20k hours can mean a whole Miriad of different thing and unless you know where all 20k hours came from its hard to say really anything about it. They blow up at 250k and 1.25 million you just almost never know.

He said usually pretty good. You can always just drop the pan and pull a couple bearings and make a judgement call. Why are they selling the truck in the first place?

Yes you can do that but is a thing from the past just by the blow by and oil test you can tell won't need to waste time and make a mess. Also if you chage crank bearings for sign of wear how you going to change the ones on the cam ??? And by the time you wear tour bearings out that motor will have head issues on head soon wait until you make the money for a overhaul and then when give signs of overhaul do it.

The change oil at 15k km and selling to buy a new truck 2016 it was oldest dump truck in the fleet but never really gave then any trouble just looking for info on them

I think the isx itself is a great platform, and they had trouble in the beginning of course but they have ironed most of that out. That's a pretty early isx and I'm not sure if they had camshaft issues in o4 or not. Pop the valve cover and have a look and do an oil sample like was already said and there's pretty much the best you can do to start with

All the mechanics I know recommend doing main bearings at 800k on Otr Isx
