Update: Had my oil changed and it has done considerably better. It is still burning a little bit. I have had to add a half a gallon after 5,000 miles which seems about normal. Oil pressure is still low end after getting warmed up. About 30-32 running. You guys thinks bottom end will resolve my issue?

I have a 2006 670 volvo with a cummings and it has 980000 and I am leaking oil and power a poor fuel milage. I just got a pm on it 5000 miles ago and I had already added 4 gallons of oil since then. Can someone please tell me what it might be.

Short term fix on the bottom end. But, if you are going to do that, and have to in frame it in a few months, which is likely to happen, may as well just in frame her in the next month or two. Just choose the shop wisely, there are many a hack shops out there. Start calling around and ask for references.superhill56 Thanks this.

Yea every quote has been about 20k. A couple places won't even do it because of the ISX setup. They say for what they would charge in better of taking it to Cummins. Cummins quotes me at $25,500.

Where did you have it done at? Dang with the head? Everybody keeps telling me a price without the head and they send it off to get tested and if it's cracked then I will have more added on. I dropped my truck off at this one shop first week of January to get my inframe done and it sat over there for a month and when I went to check on it they said "oh we won't be able to do it because it's going to take too long." Also do you still have EGR Cooler or did you get it deleted.
