Cummins ISX won’t start solution

    Great DIY fix...The second mechanic should have looked deeper into the turbo actuator fault. Per Cummins any fault active or inactive within 25 hours of the current engine hours should be troubleshot...The important thing is the truck is back on the road making money.

    Picked up a 2015 prostar Isx cheap same problem they thought motor was back darn shame it was just a turbo

    Thank you for this post. I'm headed outside when the sun comes up to see if this is my issue. My truck threw a code for stop engine dpf needs maintenance. Had the truck towed (850) dollars. They reset codes and attempted an regen without diagnostic tests to see what the actual problem was. Half way into the regen the truck shut down and won't start unless you unhook the turbo so it can breathe or exhaust- which ever. They then called me with a 19k quote on replacing the turbo, actuator, cleaning one box and replacing a sensor. I had it towed back to my drive to figure this out myself. I really hope this is my issue
