was looking for some feedback on this motor........specifically, would you pay $4000 for a 1 year 100k extended warranty on a truck that has 320k miles? My experience with my Detroit is that you won't put $4000 in repairs in a year on a truck with those few miles. I'm not familiar with the Cummins and I'd like to hear your thoughts. Truck is here:

On any modern engine it may be worth it. As long as it covers emissions system as well.
-
Then you got, dpf, def and of course EGR. The truck is young enough that the emission system might have not completely wrecked things internally yet. But the fuel pump fail around 300k-400k give or take. So at the minimum your probably looking at getting a new fuel pump in right away just to be on the safe side.
But me personally I would keep shopping.
I would not feel good about basing my business around one these 2250/2350 isx -
thank you very much. This is the information I needed to know.

Opus Thanks this.

maybe it's why they have an abundance of this model @ 320k miles.......reminds me of the Maxforce

I have a 2350 ISX15 and the previous owner had the fuel pump shoot through at 360k. It was warrantied by Cummins as they are the ones who did the long block that is in here now. You can call Cummins on any of the trucks that you are looking at and they will tell you if the fuel pump deal has been taken care of or not.

So, after its fixed, it's good to go or is it only a matter of time before it blows again? -
Opus Thanks this.
