OK. Maybe they don't work, I don't know.

Your MPH seems a little bit low compared to ET if compared to cars. Cars running 15.5 range usually have trap speeds close to 100 mph. Are you sure you don't run out of gearing or rpm? I run 79 mph at 17200 lbs but I'm close to rpm limit and it starts to drop boost.

The truck will run 115 mph # 2600 in 18th gear and I spin more rpm than that, but in the 1/4, I am abit slow out of the hole due to tire spin. Its hard to get 19000 lb moving. I am going to the track this weekend, will see how my new set up works, should launch better. :biggrin_255:

    Great KT videos,

I drove the Preacher Man's show rig and he had a KT600 with twin turbos, only had it out for special large and heavy loads. Had more power than anyone could ever desire, keep the gears going and could climb mountains or go down them at the same speed.

Is that the same "Preacher Man with initials D. L.? If it is I didn't know that truck was still around. The last time I saw it, it was at his KW dealer with the heads off of it again for blown head gaskets many years ago.

Yes Sir one in the same and he has two yards now and moved out of Virginia and down here, just talked to him the other day on the phone.

That rig had a few bad hiccups then he took it to PA and had it worked over by Tom Lindsey, never seen anything like it before or after.

He and I pulled two loads out of Covington Virginia, my load was 63,000 his was 75,000. Load not the GVW

He walked past me on two pulls like my truck was on jack stands.

I saw 19L cummins on russian military trucktor built in Kugran. But it was with hydromechanical clutch (it is a mix of clutch and very big torque converter).

KTA and QSK are not for road use

and I'm not sure that QSK and KTA may legally be installed on hightway trucks.

    aiwiron Thanks this.

as I know now KT series engines and Q series meet Euro-II emissions only, and cant be installed on any new road truck (ore may be to be sold in Africa, LOL), so these russian fat trucks are made for military use and for use on non public roads.

and as I know now Kt's are made in China, not in the USA.

I had a friend that drove for him back in the mid 80's. I actually remember his first truck with a 475 Detroit in it, my friend started driving this truck when he went to work for him.

If he only had 75,000 on the deck...........he was light. He never was afraid to push the envelope
