    OK picture of the gauges with ac running how can I tell if I need the high pressure switch or not..thanks guys

    Something looks wonky there. 55 psi on low side and 50 psi on the high side? With compressor running, low side should drop down while the high side should go up. Almost looks like the compressor was not cycled on when you took that photo.

    Ballpark number to remember is approximately 70 psi static pressure (system off) on high and low side at room temperature. When the compressor kicks on, low side will drop and high side will increase.

    I'll put the gauges on again and run it and check things out..I really need to get it fixed
