History. Inframe with 20k. 6 new injectors, ecm, wiring harnesses, all sensors. No codes. Drive ability issues are at maintained rpm at times truck will flutter, derate, occasional bucking, black smoke, worse when loaded. While you push through with the pedal it will go away. Insite state of engine shows fuel derate due to low oxygen(boost pressure) may only last a couple of seconds. Every time you accelerate the engine quickly. Note: air system has no issues. CAC tested, boots, intake manifold, filters all good. While in insite today it popped code 323. 2 occurrences. The truck studdered when it happened. Do the two affect each other? What is the fix? I’m about ready to burn it.

That code is an electrical fault on #5. I’d be going through the wiring and plugs before I assumed a bad injector, not that I haven’t had bad injectors come out of a box before, but check the wiring and plugs first.

The pass thrus on the rocker box were what I meant by plugs. Since that was all apart lately you should make sure all the restraints that are supposed to be on that harness got put back. My buddy saved himself half an hour when he changed an engine, and he suspects the fan moving the harness was the root of the broken wire problems he was having. That truck works in the bush too so that couldn’t have been helping either. Hasn’t had any broken wires since he went back and tied the harness down properly, but he still ####s with the pass thrus now and again.

Check the slotted nuts on the injector wires, under the little plastic shield. I have a couple rebuilts and 2 take outs, 7 of 8 nuts turned a bit.
