Cummins N14 A/C compressor bolts breaking

    And use a Gates Green Stripe belt, if you’re not already. Dayco and a lot of others are too springy and spongy.

    It's a napa belt. The one that was on there was alliance

    I've been wondering if it was the accessory drive or maybe the dampner is bad and letting more vibration go through everything

    With the belt off, is there any slop up and down in any of the pulleys?

    I didn't notice any slop up and down but you can twist the accessory drive back and forth a tiny bit

    How much is a tiny bit? In terms of a minute hand on a clock... 5 seconds (barely felt but not enough to see)? A minute? 5 minutes?

    If the gear lash is excessive, it could cause the belt to vibrate.
