I’m going to say:
1. Not enough belt tension
2. Compressor bolts too sloppy and not enough torque.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Put some lock washers on your bolts

How about using a torque wrench when you tighten them? And maybe some Loctite to make sure they don't come Loose.
Also, maybe a flange bolt would be better if you're not using it already.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -

I had the same problem,bought new ac compressor, belts,bolts,ac clutch..My belts would get loose all the time and ac comp kept sliding down,it drove me nuts! I said screw this crap, i bought new sanden style comp and a conversion bracket. Ac works good,no more loose belts no more messing around.
