Cummins N14 Celect Plus Hard Start Issue

key on engine not running , the check engine light is supposed to be on

 

I don't think my check engine is always on when the key is on. It comes on then turns off with the key on and engine off. It was staying on until the engine fired. Maybe thats what its supposed to though.

I think you need to get the overhead ran next and see if that helps before diving off a cliff troubleshooting your stutter. Sometimes it's the simple things that cause the most grief.

 

Very good point. I appreciate that. I'll be looking into a shop that can do an overhead for me.
