As long as you know it fine. Its nice being able to do the bottom end while standing, makes it enjoyable.

Went to fire it up after we switched computers, put a brand new starter, starter relay, and batteries on and the motor won't turn over now. Tried by hand and still nothing. Thought it was hydro-locked from dumping fuel in the cylinder so I took the injectors out to relieve pressure. None of the cylinders are filled and motor still won't turn over. Decided to take the oil pan off and see it we made a mistake putting in mains and rods. Everything looks fine for #2 rod cap has discoloration ImageUploadedByTapatalk1376505112.798965.jpg

Rod doesn't look bent but to me that looks like discoloration from heat? Motor was running for 30 seconds on the wrong computer before it shut down. I did a diagnostic report from my electronic log device and it said 128 #1, #84 low speed rate, 2 erratic pulse.

Could be spun bearing. Are you sure you put the bearings in the right way, top on top and bottom on bottom?

Looks like it got hot to me. Not good. Pull rod cap and see if there is scoring on the bearing and the rod journal. Plastic gauge is your friend when replacing main and rod bearings.

Wrong ECM will not cause that. I wonder if this got an oil change after the flood and before you bought it and something was in the oil galley.

Number 2 spun on this motor as well. Bearings were in correct. The notches were both in place where they needed to be but the rest of the bearing broke away from the notches. Cap and connecting rod are both shot and the each of the half bearings fused themselves together. The oil hole on the bearing is now a solid hole. Lets just say I am sick to my stomach.

I know how you feel. I had a 6V92TTA spin a main bearing 15k after I bought it. Ruined block and crank. Bought a very good block and crank, rebuilt heads, new cylinder kits, cams, rebuilt injectors, and had put new seals and bearings in the blower when I got it.

I hadn't gone 100 miles before the turbo went out, which the rebuilder of the engine said was perfect. 600 miles later the oil pressure went down. Fuel was dumping into the oil. Ended up with a scored crank from a bad pipe nipple on an injector. Injector place blamed the installer for dropping it, garage blamed the injector place for sending out a bad injector. Either way I spent a lot of money for nothing.
