Id love to explore the idea of getting a custom tune in my n14. Is this even possible? Im not wanting more horsepower, as it is set at 525 now. But doesnt run as smooth as id like. Is getting a custom tune for a n14 even available? Or are these older motors set it from cummins and that is it?
Cummins n14 tuning is this possible?

When I had my 01, Volvo 770 it was set up at 440/1650. I took it over to Eli at Arizona truck engines and he set it up at 565/1850, and that really woke the engine up.
Have to keep a close eye on the temperature in turn on the fan and even the slightest incline because the temperature would shoot up.
I sold the truck about three years ago and told the guy to turn the truck back down because he was going to put a driver in it, I saw him about six months after I sold it to him, and it was getting an in frame because he never turn the truck down, and the guy blew up the engine.
Just need to find the right guy to turn it up, but you need to keep an eye on it!Legonch Thanks this. -
Lots of little things can help make it run smoother. Replace the damper, run the overhead, time the compressor, rebuild the accessory drive, etc

Just did the accessory drive, and bushing and seals. I think I got the compressor timed, but does have a bit of a tick now. Hard to tell if thats new. But does sound smoother now.RocketScott Thanks this.
