Ok thank you I really appreciate all the info

I also have a n NTC475TT. It has been sitting dismantled on 3 pallets in my shop for 2 years now. I have decided to toss the mvt system and go with fixed timed followers.
So basically everything internally except the followers will be for the NTC475 cpl330. Externally I'll just run a single turbo because the local turbo shop wants $3k to rebuild the twins. Probably have to run a different center section on the exhaust manifold as well.
Any other input would be great.
Sorry about highjacking this thread. -
Why would you need to change manifolds?

Is the flange angle not different? I just assumed it was.

This article I read talks about different timing marks for setting the valves and injectors...does anyone have experience with this? Or will I just set as per a normal NTC?

When a NTC475 is at idle or light load it switches to advanced timing.
The overhead needs to be set in the retard position.
If you make it a fixed time engine it will always be in the fixed time position. -
Yes, I understand that. So I would set it at the normal NTC marks? Reason I ask is because looking at the mvt followers, it is only the injector lifter that is on an eccentric. It doesnt look like the valves change timing when the mvt changes from advance to retard...
Would 40⁰ more clockwise timing marks change the valve settings that much? In my mind it must have something to do with the higher lift valves.....I have been wrong before though....wife tells me all the time...
The mvt in full retard would be the same as what I plan on doing with fixed time no? -
Or does the extra 40⁰ just allow the valves for the variance of injector timing? That would make sense to me...

It really depends on what turbo you are going to run, if you bolt a modern S400 on like a 3406 or S60 uses then it would be close to matching what was there.
If wanting to go to other 855 parts then yes you would need a manifold and a reverse rotation turbo and the matching cross over.
