The way serco loaders work is through the cruise control, and theres not any electrical connection to the ecm other than the lights. The worst down on rpm is the loader legs which it goes to like 920 rpm or something close to that for 5 seconds but only when you use both at the same time.

Since we are also running in northern ontario with 63500 plus 10% to 69850 kgs, with ten minute 5% uphills instead of 3rd i could go in 4th over and see about a driving regen.

I know the loader isn't connected to the trucks electronics. I'm just saying its possible the programming for the parked regen might not like the engine being under fluctuating loads and the small RPM drops and rises as you're running the loader. I don't know if that will have any effect on being able to complete a parked regen or not.

I think it will be fine. Theres not really any fluctuations when the legs are on the ground and we are home every saturday and pull such heavy loads up grades that a mountain goat would turn around that we have enough time either way.

You will be fine. My x15 runs 900rpm for the blower for 2-4 hours at a time. Not sure if its regening while at that RPM as the inly time Ive done a parked/forced regen it inly does so at 800ish RPM. Once you have loaded it will do its active regen while you drive especially with the weight you are talking about.

Thanks. The tare is 28000 kg ~70000 lbs anyway so we weigh as much as mr highway hank is loaded.

Better check to see if it can be programmed to do that, because I know mine will not let you regen with the PTO engaged. Has to be in neutral with the cruise off.

Are you buying one of these new SPIF monstrosities for Ontario? Our government sure likes trying to put us all broke. HX620%2010%20X%206-1515614622.jpg

Yes, that's the setup I'd like to buy, but we go into places that the tandem drive has a hard time turning in, so it's probably going to be a self steer airlift and a tandem drive.

Can you still do that? What will you be your allowable with the pony trailer?
Everyone around here is going twin steer tri-drive like this.

The gross on the truck is 37650 kg so 2000 kg less than the tri drive. but it will mostly be given back because theres not a third rear end. The allowable on the wagon is 36000 kg. The max axles allowable is 73650 kg. So we are under the regular axle ratings without the ten percent increase.
