Does it matter who the letters are from? How do I get them notarized? Like can it be friends or family members or what?

Well my co driver is about asleep waiting for a load so... I'll ask him another time. Until then I am going to assume three people you worked under the table for. No company will take letters from a family member.

You really need to talk to your recruiter. He/she really ought to be able to tell you the steps in getting this done.

Why would that double the odds against us?

What's hateful about stating the facts about who's really getting screwed? Somebody making under $5,000 a year obviously doesn't have money to pay for school. Millions of taxpayer dollars have been wasted paying for wannabes to go to CDL mills then get rejected at orientation or quit a few months or less after being hired.

Do your research . 90% of new drivers don't last a year. The proof has been posted numerous times. What are the odds both you and your wife will be in the 10% that make it ?
Do some research on driver turnover in OTR carriers. It averages around 89%. That means a carrier with 5,000 drivers hires 4,450 new drivers a year.

So you're telling me that just because I'm new I'm gonna fail? You were new once. Apparently you didn't fail. I think you're just a bitter old man that likes to stick his nose in places that it doesn't belong. You should back off talking about how my life is going to go and stop worrying about my finances and things that are none of your business. I came here for help not to be ridiculed by some old man who hates the world because he has no friends. Maybe if you'd calm down and be a little nicer to people you wouldn't have to get so worked up about things that are none of your business.

You came here and ask questions, these folks gave you the cold honest truth, and just didn't sugar coat the answers. Read the stories and open your eyes.

I appreciate the help. I really do. My problem is the guy coming on here and trying to make me look like a bad person. That's not appreciated at all.
