hasn't happened with me. my truck has been very reliable. at this time roughly a little more than half the fleet has apu's. when I started, only a third of the fleet had them, and since then we've gotten hundreds of Cascadias in and they ALL have Tripacs.

I'll pipe in here too since I worked for them last year...Alot of good long term drivers left because of the foolishness with the trucks...breakdown's,no APU's,old equipment period..and the turning down of every truck...Mine was 7 years old and had a Cummins..so I kept it till I left. I also had to fight to get hometime and when I did,my phone rang off the hook till I got back to my truck..I asked to get on the Southwest fleet and was told by my DM that I was a US Fleet driver and no...When I quit...magically a position opened up in the SW fleet....oooppps too late! Oh yeah I'm driving for a company that is a forced dispatch, but you have the ability to turn downs loads with a good reason and get this...there's no arguing with my DM explaining why I'm turning it down..unlike at GTI when everyone was threatening me to take that load.....haha

I could not agree more. My truck with Gordon was a pile. I spent more time in the shop than on the road. My last day there it broke down and ended up at Indy. That was it. They also do force loads on you even when your hours dont allow it to be done. I could not be happier with my new company. How about being asked if the load they give you works for you and being payed for everything you do. What a novel concept.

yes GTI has purchased some trucks, but as you should know they are still sitting at the dealership, and how would you know just how many trucks have APU's unless you are not a driver, hum, makes me wonder, just a couple of days ago the DM in question here tried to give my husband a load knowing that he did not have the hours to get it there on time, when my husband tried to explain this again to his DM he was informed that it wasn't his problem, that it better get there no matter what. Yes thats what we all want drivers on the road who haven't had enough sleep. Thank you nicnat2 you know exactly how home time is, the phone never stops ringing, or as in one case thats happened to us, his DM said he called our home, (where we have a answering machine) left a message and then did not return the call to go back to work, my husband really got a butt chewing for that, so they can lie and still get away with it, in fact my husband even got written up for it, how unreal. They talk about how there customers are #1 with on time, right only if they are the major companies, the smaller not fortune 500 companies get there loads whenever, and I have seen myself trailors with delivery dates days past due. Now they have adds in our local paper and on craigslist advertising for drivers and when you call and find out they are headhunters for GTI its really sad but kinda funny also. CornerCarver congrats on the new company and good luck and thank you for your voice on this matter, I know that not all of the drivers are being treated fair or with and respect and the few that are well they don't want to believe that GTI can be like that.
CornerCarver Thanks this.
