Yeah, that's what happened to me at JB unt Denver...I did a spreadsheet for when I was there: 1hr average, per day, of truck-breakdown time. Not worth inspecting 10 chassis in a day.

    Bud A. Thanks this.

Your company is obviously short on freight…for whatever reasons

I'm not looking elsewhere for work (I already applied to 50 places September-December and only had 5 solids replies and only 2 good matches for me).

Rather, I'm pointing out what CAN be a legitimate (yet not so great) average or median for OTR at a mega. It could be ANY of the megas...the grass isn't greener on the other side...if I switched to another mega now I'd wind up 4 months down the road seeing the averages be the same.

The thing that really brings the average down is the two separate weeks I spent waiting for my truck to even be diagnosed by in-company mechanics...I think next time something needs repair on the truck I'll just "breakdown" in the middle of nowhere far away from a company terminal so an outside 3rd party mechanic shop can fix it in a day.

    Big Road Skateboard Thanks this.

If that was 3 days on & 4 days off, I'd take it. Even if it was an 1800 mile roundtrip with 2 nights in the bunk, I'd take it
    But that's just me....

Remember, these are just averages...I will occasionally get a nice 2,600 mile week or a 70hr week, but so far they are few.

"Slow on freight" in the springtime is ########. They're slow because they overhire and don't want one guy making good money. 930 a week is 2016 wages that company can go #### themselves
