Hello. I am into the second of four weeks of a driving school, looking forward to getting on the road. The new backing skills test is something else. I am thinking of going to Transport Amarica anyone have an opinion on thwm. By the way the backing test we have to do is a straight line, offset and the one that is getting most people 90° sight side alley dock. Out od the 30 some company sponsored drivers (only at school a week an a half) only 6 passed on Monday.

As hard as backing seems at first, it will get easier. You will get better. Just keep practicing, keep trying, and learn what things you did that worked and what didnt. Out here, the real world will really put you to the test. Trust me.

Alley dock is hard. I still have to get out and look and pull up a few times to get it in correctly.

There should be some type of info. on this company, Here someplace, With the back, you will get it down, It takes practice. Good Luck.

I'm not to worried abought backing with a little more practice. Think slow move slow don't stress.

I just got done with school last week and my worst performance was on backing (serpentine, not alley docking), but I got through the alley dock with -3 points. I pulled up once and did not get the rear bumper all they way into the zone at the back, but I passed. My point is, don't sweat it if you have to do a pull up, out of the 10 of us who passed last week, 8 did at least one pull up in the alley.

We get to pullups per maneuver and 2 get out and looks not to worried anymore we have been practicing parallel parking in smaller spots than the test and have figured out to move slow think slow and the truck will practically back itself up.
