    I’ll check them out thanks! Been a while since I had to apply for a job instead of being told everything, so I’m trying to get ahead of the anxiety lol

    @Chinatown,

    I've been thinking more and more about takers, I'll be testing tomorrow for my tank, doubles and triples, and hazmat tomorrow.

    Any ideas? Seems like most of them are day cabs so I would probably have to relocate. I'm good with that. The boss lady? Not so much

    Check with Tidewater Transit and ask if they hire from Ft. Hood area.
    Tidewater does hire new cdl grads and has a good reputation.

    If you decide to relocate, come on out to Las Vegas. It's an Air Force town, but we can overlook that...lol.

    Lol! I’ve got a couple of buddy’s trying to convince me to move to Fallon. Vegas would be nice though.

    Also, tidewaters closest terminal is about 3 hours away. So they’re a no go. 35 miles is their max. I’m well over that at 2 hours

    Chinatown Thanks this.

    Never been to Fallon, but some of my Navy buddies went there and liked it.
    I live in Henderson and can see the Las Vegas Strip from my HOA.
    Henderson is really clean and well kept. Las Vegas is ok too, but so many homeless people trashing the place, it's pathetic.

    the airforce base is pretty sweet. They’ve got a bar in the hangars for the pilots. Or so I’ve heard

    I was born and raised in Tennessee, within 50 miles of Ft. Campbell.
    Every so often an Army family would live in that little town where I was. They were lifers, but I always thought they were such cool guys, especially the 101st Airborne guys. Still, I joined the Navy. My cousin did join the 101st, thinking, "This is great, being stationed so close to home."
    He found out quickly, being stationed close to home, doesn't mean you'll be home.
