@Bpat situations like this happen all the time I'm sure. If everyone was to call the police for this every time "to keep the peace" at a warehouse it would be ridiculous to use the Police resources we have for something that doesn't need them. The situation you stated wasn't a police matter. If you have a detention Claus listed in your contract for after 2 hours then that's what this would have boiled down to. It happens all the time where drivers get held up and have to reschedule or even cancel a pickup because of getting held up at a shipper/receiver. That's what the detention pay is for. No one likes having to push back or cancel/reschedule a pickup because your being held up but obviously it does happen in this business. If you think someone hitting his fists on a table was a threat I mean, I guess everyone is different. It would have been comical to me.

Calling it as i see it since were supposed to be squeaky clean.

Key board commandos usually talk about whooping someone's arse, but in my experience they say its a good thing the cops came, or its a good thing i called the cops before i whooped your butt.

You the muddydog79 must give respect in order to receive it. You just said that. Are you the judge, jury and executioner to decide that someone is disrespecting you? Obviously. I dont know why i said this. Actually useless paragraph.

So back to treating people the way you want to be treated.... if you have person a and person b. Person A starts a verbal fight with person b. What kind of person would B be if they fired back?

    Ill wait....

    ......

    .......

    Still waiting.....

Ding ding ding, you would be correct if you said, If person B escalates the situation beyond what A did, then B is no better a person then A.

Those who are respected, stay cool through all the fire. According to the OP, he actually did just that.

But here you are talking about respect and anger issues while kicking someones ###... did we forget what we wrote?

Perhaps, but I've never seen a situation unfold the way it was described.

IDK, in 10 years of trucking for me I can say I've had a couple of heated situations at either a shipper or receiver. Wether it be a security guard at the place who's being difficult or a clerk in the office. I've personally witnessed some heated altercations that I wasn't involved in either on more than one occasion. I think it happens a lot more than some people may think. I just couldn't see calling the police, everyone's different though? Some apparently think its the right thing to do...

Theres a big difference in having anger issues vs defending yourself and not being walked on simply because someone is having a bad day.

Dont forget what you said either. You were defending the receiver, acting like its ok to be a jerk if yoy have a bad day.

Theres also a difference in knowing the two, having the intestinal fortitude to understand the situation and leave the situation without escalation.

Sure you can say your piece, and be respectful at it too. But when physical contact is brought in, by the offended the offended is no better than the offender. Unless your life is definitely being threatened and the only way out is an ### whoopin, then you can simply about face and exit the facility. Everyone wins.
